Lined dies, commonly called insert dies, are primarily used to compress abrasive and corrosive formulation. Natoli offers both carbide and ceramic lined dies designed for significant wear to drastically increase tool life and extend tablet quality.
Carbide Lined Dies
Carbide lined dies are recommended for use with abrasive granulations and used commonly for nutraceutical applications. Carbide lined dies utilize a wear liner that can easily increase die life by 10 times.
Ceramic Lined Dies
Ceramic lined dies are recommended for corrosive products because they can reduce the coefficient of friction throughout the many cycles of tablet compression. Ceramic lined dies do not corrode or wear, they utilize a wear liner that can increase die life by 5-10 times.
