Sometimes it is difficult to determine the friability of spheroids, granules and pellets that are destined to become components of a larger dosage form. A granule friability tester was specifically designed to determine the friability of these components prior to further processing. This granule friability tester operates by oscillating the sample container at a defined frequency causing the sample contents to collide with each other and the inside surface of the container.
